About Alex Amor:
Glaswegian indie-pop riser Alex Amor‘s latest EP ‘Super Sonic’ is out now via Young Poet. The ambitious 7 track project includes the singles, “Cherry Blossom Boy”, “Like The First Time”, “Time To Smile”, “Wandering Eyes” and its title track “Super Sonic”.
Blending a myriad of sonic and aesthetic influences such as The Cardigans, Beach House, Cocteau Twins, Lorde, HAIM, Lana Del Rey and Men I Trust, Alex’s uplifting melding of indie-pop and dream-pop is imbued with sunshine.
The EP and its artwork centres around individual character studies; more speci fically different facets of Alex’s own personality, with each song and its corresponding visual representing a unique side to her psyche.
Across the ‘Super Sonic’ EP, Alex worked with songwriters and producers including Karma Kid (Bakar, Hak Baker, Shygirl), Ben Matravers (Easy Life, Abbie Ozard), Bastian Langebaek (Olivia Dean, Nilüfer Yanya), Josef Page (Aziya, Pixx) and Rich Cooper (Rina Sawayama, CMAT).
