Cuban Sundays Live Series Honours a Timba Legend: Osvaldo Chacón Live at Juju’s!

London’s Cuban music lovers, prepare for an unforgettable night! On Sunday, 25 May, Juju’s Bar & Stage — the capital’s beloved Cuban house of music — will come alive with the fire and soul of timba, as the Cuban Sundays Live Series pays tribute to a true musical icon: Osvaldo Chacón.

With an extraordinary career spanning 31 years, Chacón has left an indelible mark on Cuban music, particularly as one of the first Timberos to bring the genre to the UK. This celebration is more than a concert — it’s a salute to a pioneer whose sound has inspired dancers and musicians alike.

Taking the stage alongside him is the powerhouse Orquesta Sambroso, led by none other than Grammy-nominated percussionist Hammadi Valdes, promising a show pulsing with rhythm, power, and Cuban sabor.

To kick off the night in true Havana style, the decks will be in the hands of DJ Javier La Máquina De Cuba, setting the tone from 6:00 PM with classic beats and irresistible grooves.
