Food, Drinks and Live Music in Brick Lane
We are super excited to welcome the Awale Jant Band to Juju’s for an evening of incredible live music that you will feel in your soul!
The band are an uplifting cross-cultural collaboration, bringing together Afro-Latin, Funk and Soul elements with a Senegalese twist. The wonderful voice of Biram Seck and guitarist Thibaut Remy’s compositions make for an unmissable combo.
Their 2020 album ‘YEWOULEN’ which means ‘Wake Up’ in Wolof, is a culmination of different cultures, with Senegalese drums and Jazzy improvisations. The project was created with the message of unity and compassion.
The band’s vocalist Biram Seck says “I love music because it is a means of communicating ideas to broaden minds and build an integrated world… a world of peace!”
Come on down to Juju’s for this uplifting musical experience, and after Awale’s live performance, we’ll continue the party from behind the decks with a fire DJ – to be announced!
